itinerary

Day 01: Helicopter Flight to Syanboche and Overnight at Everest View Hotel

We’ll start our adventure with a helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Syanboche Airport. From this vantage point, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking panorama of the Khumbu peaks and a stunning view of Mount Everest. We’ll spend the night at the Everest View Hotel.

Day 02: Journey to Tengboche and Overnight Stay

Today, we’ll descend through the Khumjung area and follow the main path to Everest via Shanasa. We’ll continue to Trashinga and then cross the Dudh Koshi River at Phunkitenga (3250m). The hike involves a steep ascent through forests of fir, black juniper, pine, and rhododendron, culminating at Tengboche Monastery. Here, you’ll be rewarded with views of Ama Dablam, Kantega, and Mount Everest. The hike will take about 5 hours, and we’ll stay overnight at a tea house.

Day 03: Trek to Dingboche and Overnight Accommodation

Our journey continues with a descent through the forested areas of birch, juniper, fir, and rhododendron at Debouche. We’ll take a steady uphill route due to the increasing elevation. After crossing the Imja Khola, we’ll head to Pangboche, where we can admire the beauty of Ama Dablam. From there, we’ll climb through open alpine hillsides and eventually reach Dingboche. We’ll spend the night at a tea house.

Day 04: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche (Optional Hike to Chukung Valley)

Today is a rest day in Dingboche, which sits at an altitude of 4300m. This is an important day for acclimatization, so we won’t be making any further ascents. However, if you’re feeling energetic, you can choose to hike to Chukung Valley. This is entirely optional and up to you. We’ll stay overnight at a tea house.

Day 05: Trek to Lobuche and Overnight Stay

Leaving Dingboche behind, we’ll head towards the Khumbu Glacier. The path ascends steeply to Dughla, and then continues along the moraine. After a flat stretch on the west side of the moraine, we’ll reach Lobuche. We’ll spend the night at a tea house.

Day 06: Trek to Gorakshep and Visit to Everest Base Camp

This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. We’ll follow the Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base Camp (5360m), the closest point to Mount Everest without climbing gear. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. We’ll then return to Gorakshep for the night, staying at a tea house.

Day 07: Early Morning Hike to Kalapatthar and Return to Kathmandu

We’ll wake up early to hike to Kalapatthar, which offers an incredible view of the Everest region. From here, you’ll see Mount Everest and Pumori up close. After taking in the breathtaking scenery, we’ll return to Kathmandu via helicopter. We’ll spend the night in Kathmandu.
