trip information

Mt. Baruntse an eastern mountain of Nepal located majestically between the world’s highest mountains: Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu at the epicenter of three glacier valleys including the Barun, Imja, and Hunku. The mountain offering one of the most rewarding climbs to the summit of 7000m was first ascended by Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow in 1945 from New Zealand via the South-East Ridge route.
The expedition to Baruntse peak approaches base camp through the pristine wilderness environment of the Hinku valley and the renowned Mera La of Makalu Barun remote valley of Nepal. Two high camps above the base camp will be made, camp I will be set just below the East Col at an altitude of 5700m and camp II will be set on the South-East Ridge at a height of 6420m.
Moreover, there is a higher success rate of scaling the summit and retiring safely which experiencing exceptional views of the Himalayan vista.
