Pumori dominates the skyline behind Kalapatther 5643m, which looks like a clump of rock on Pumori Southwest ridge. As a 7000m high mountain Mt. Pumori is a technically challenging mountain requiring excellent physical endurance while offering sections of wild exposure, views of Lhotse and Everest requiring climbers to have previous mountaineering experience. The course pursues the Southeast brace before it navigates toward the East Ridge for the rest of the climb. About 20 expedition group scale the summit of Mt. Pumori every year and is regarded as a famous training peak before climbing Mt. Everest. The best season to explore this stunning peak is from September to November and March to May.
